Again, this is a pattern as spoken of by Paul in Romans….that All Israel will be saved....
If the first fruit is holy, the whole lump is also holy Romans 11:16
What does this mean? It means that the lump, or unbelieving Israel, is holy because of the first fruits, which is the remnant through which they will be saved. If the root is holy, so are the branches. But, Paul already anticipates that many will say, “Yes, but the branches were broken off in unbelief”. If one does not ultimately believe in Yeshua, one won’t be saved and enter the Kingdom of God.
And they also, if they continue not in their unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in againRomans 11:23
This is just an” if” . It does not mean it will or will not happen. Paul continues to tell us…..
For if you were cut from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and grafted, contrary to nature, into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, the natural branches, be grafted back into their own olive tree Romans 11:24
The Master Potter can repair even a vessel of wrath! The wild olive tree is the tree of the gentile unbelievers. The fact that the olive tree of the people of God is called, with regards to Israel, their own olive tree should forever change the theology of a people who don’t see the place of Israel. There is one olive tree with natural branches and formerly wild branches that have been grafted in. With regards to Israel, does this mean they will be grafted in? Its not clear yet. First, Paul says if they don’t continue in unbelief, they will be grafted into their olive tree. Then he makes it clearer, that they will be grafted in! The logic is inescapable. However, some people try to escape the inescapable. Some even say that all Israel being saved means all of that people, Jew and Gentile, who were born again are the ones that will be saved. But, this is not what it means. The logic leads to the conclusion that the Nation as a whole comes to Yeshua……that the branches will be preserved and then grafted back in….
Lest you be wise in your own sight, I want you to understand this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in Romans 11:25
The “fullness” of the gentiles means the full number of the Gentiles that will be brought in when the Kingdom witness as spoken by Yeshua at Matthew 24:14 will be fulfilled during the last phase of the end time period. The Gospel then will be preached in the entire Globe as a witness, then the end time will begin by the ousting from Satan from Heaven and rise of Antichrist to ultimate power here on the Earth. This will bring in the full number of the Gentiles who are representatives of all the Nations……then all Israel will come to Yeshua…
And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written, “The deliverer will come from Zion: he will turn godlessness away from Jacob. And this is my covenant with them when I take away their sins………
Israel is Still the Elect
And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written, "The Deliverer will come from Zion, he will banish ungodliness from Jacob"; "and this will be my covenant with them when I take away their sins." As regards the gospel, they are enemies of God for your sake. But as regards election, they are beloved for the sake of their forefathers. For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable Romans 11:26-29
Israel is still the Elect: they have a very special role to play: they even have a very special gift: they have a calling. Their part in effecting redemption to the world in the Good News of the Kingdom which is still to be preached, a Good News which is still future. This is an amazingly clear verse, yet it is often ignored by those who preach and teach in the church who have replaced Israel, and knocked the Jews out of receiving any kind of redemption or grace.
For just as you were at one time disobedient to God but now have received mercy because of their disobedience, so they too have now been disobedient in order that by the mercy shown to you they also may now receive mercy Romans 11:30-31
